The quality of the service you provide to your customers is the most critical part of running a successful service business. If you don’t provide quality service to your customers, then they aren’t going to call you when they need more work done.

Repeat business from your customer base is the key to a successful business and it is all you need to stay booked all year long. When you do good work, people want you to come back. They won’t consider going to anyone else, you will be their go to service professional.

Make it a point to complete every job without cutting any corners. Don’t use inappropriate materials, or use the wrong tool for the job. If you complete jobs the right way, you’ll find that your jobs run smoother and you’ll feel better about the job you’ve done when you’re finished. You may even be comfortable with giving your customers a warranty.

You should never let a bad day ruin your quality of work. If you don’t do the job right the first time, not only will you have to go back to fix it, but your customer just might think twice about calling you back for their next project. It is inevitable that you will have to to fix up a job  on occasion, so don’t add to the headache of having to go back for more jobs than you absolutely have to.

It is important uphold a high level of service throughout every part your business. That means sticking to your appointments, showing up on time, invoicing on time, and returning phone calls. Customer service is a very important part of your job. You need to make it a habit. If you wait days to return phone calls, show up to jobs 15 minutes late, break the habit immediately and remind yourself that you aren’t the average service professional. Once you build good habits with quality customer service it will come naturally to you. Customers will take notice and your fully booked calendar will reflect it.
